Shipping Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

How orders are packed, dispatched and delivered from our Cape Town fulfilment facility to addresses across South Africa.

1. Delivery overview

AfriCam Online delivers to addresses across South Africa by insured freight from our fulfilment facility in Sun Valley, Cape Town. Delivery is free on every order — there is no minimum spend or separate shipping charge. In-person collection is not available.

2. Shipping cost

Standard delivery to any address in South Africa is included in the product price at no additional charge. There are no hidden fees or surcharges added at checkout for delivery.

3. Delivery areas

We deliver to all nine South African provinces, including major cities, towns, and most regional areas. Very remote addresses may take longer or require a collection point; if your address falls in this category we will let you know before dispatch.

We do not deliver to addresses outside South Africa.

4. Processing and delivery times

Orders are processed and dispatched from our Cape Town fulfilment facility. Typical timeframes are:

  • Order processing: most orders are processed within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation.
  • Western Cape: 1–2 business days after dispatch.
  • Gauteng (Johannesburg / Pretoria): 2–3 business days after dispatch.
  • KwaZulu-Natal (Durban): 2–4 business days after dispatch.
  • Other provinces and regional areas: 3–5 business days after dispatch.

These are estimates based on typical courier transit times, not guaranteed delivery dates. Factors such as product availability, remote locations, public holidays and courier capacity can affect timing.

5. Courier services

We use established South African courier and freight companies to deliver orders. The courier assigned to your order depends on the size, weight and destination of the parcel. Tracking information is shared by SMS or email once your order has been dispatched.

6. Transit insurance

Every order ships with transit insurance that covers damage or loss while the parcel is in the courier's care. If your order arrives damaged or does not arrive at all, contact us within 7 days with photos and your order number so we can manage the claim on your behalf. See our Return Policy for the procedure.

7. Order tracking

Once your order is dispatched you will receive a tracking number by SMS or email. You can use this number on the courier's website to follow the parcel to your door.

8. Delivery requirements

Deliveries are made to the street address you provide during checkout. Please make sure the address includes any access codes, unit numbers or other information a courier driver would need.

For high-value orders the courier may require a signature or one-time PIN on delivery. If no one is available, the courier will follow their standard re-delivery or collection-point procedure.

9. Large and heavy items

E-bikes, power stations, ride-on cars and other large items ship by road freight rather than express parcel courier. Transit times for these items may be at the longer end of the estimates above, and delivery may be to the kerbside rather than inside the property.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this shipping policy from time to time. The version on this page on the date of your order applies to that order.
